there are few labels who will get the opportunity to work extensively with the most dynamic remixers, dj s and producers of this decade. bbe seems to keep coming up trumps. grammy award winner louie vega has been on top of the dj game for over 2 decades. he gained further notoriety as part of the collective known as ‘masters at work’ with kenny gonzalez form a formidable partnership reminiscent of the greatest producers of yesteryear. quincy did it with chaka khan, james ingram, al jarreau and the brothers johnson, while gamble and huff did it with archie bell and the drells, harold melvin and the bluenotes, teddy pendergrass and mfsb.

once again another masterpiece from the dynamic reflection squad! this time its from the young guns dynamo with amazing remixes from the heavyweights peter van hoesen and samuli kemppi. dynamo is a collaboration between paul boex and marco rane.all n all a superior release by these young guns and remix heavyweights. lets pray for more of this pure quality stuff and keep our eyes on the the future. the scene need more labels like this which reflects the current techno movement and promises loads more of that sweet stuff in days to come. dynamic reflection will represent only the true spirit of pure techno, they will put only the quality stuff back on the dancefloor!

worst friends is ryan cavanagh and john paul jones (no, not that one) from brooklyn. they are also known amongst the beards as tom croose and slow hands. we actually suspect they are pretty good friends … making this sweet sweet music together and all … oh, and they just had a cool record out on oz-label future classic. the music sounds very unlike any short persons playing sports of any kind though slow and low is definitely the tempo. there is the beautiful balearic original, eric duncan gives us a psychedelic ride on the disco carousel and prins thomas channels the song through recently aqquired skills as a choirboy and 4 finger keyboards chords…. oh my….

the hideout deconstruction revisited series is going into phase two, here we go: after the french connection (d julz and paul ritch ) , this new release sees a more international bundle of top class producers : to start , we have dusseldorfs master producer martin buttrich (desolat , planet e , ...) put his magic hands on davide squillace & luca bacchetti s around the bay ( ho001). the track starts with an >acoustic style< beat and, a strong sine sub bass line, evolving to a jacking groove with rising vocal sample , intelligent synth lines , and arabic flute break. on b2 , carola pisaturo ( titbit , claque) delivers a more minimal rework , using bouncy sub bass , vocal snipets , 909 snare and clap ... giving davide squillace and luca bacchettis around the bay a rebirth. on the flip side, mathias kadens ( vakant , cocoon ) relecture starts with a strong shuffled tribal beat , 909 toms , synth lines ... mathias interprets the original elements of around the bay in a very personal way , dropping snipets into reverbs and delays in order to create a deep rising atmosphere untill the track peaks.
